Rita E Mantz

Daughter of Bill and Elizabeth Terwort. Born January 19th of 1932 in Alva, OK died December 9th of 2015 at the age of 83 in Wichita, KS. She is proceeded in death by her parents, sister Esther Hayes, brother Bill Terwort, sister Serena Shelite, and brother Leo Terwort. She married Denzil E Mantz on May 20, 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alva, OK. She graduated from Capron High School in Capron, OK. Rita retired from Edo-Aire. She and Denzil raised their family in Wichita, KS. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends throughout all 50 states, camping, estate sales, playing cards, and dancing. She will be remembered by all for her wonderful sense of humor. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Denzil, her daughter Linda (Gary) Brown of Wichita, her son Mike Mantz of Kansas City, MO, daughter Brenda (Dennis) Elston of Wellington, KS, son Bill Mantz of Dallas, TX, five grandchildren Chad (Megan) Elston of Wichita, KS, Erica (Erin) Switzer of Tucson, AZ, Erin Brown of Wichita, KS, Courtney Brown of Wichita, KS, and Lyndsey (Nathan) Metzen of Wellington, KS, six great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law June Terwort of Kiowa, KS and many nieces and nephews. Rosary will be at 7 PM Friday and Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday 10:30 AM both at Christ The King Church. Place of Interment is Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
