Robert "Bob" Franklin Davis

Born on July 25, 1948, in Sheffield, Alabama, Bob was the son of Jesse Lester Davis and Elizabeth (Moore) Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donnie Ray Davis.

Bob proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1992, retiring with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. During his distinguished 25-year career, he was stationed in England, Thailand, and at several U.S. bases, including Grand Forks AFB, Columbus AFB, Rickenbacker AFB, Mather AFB, Galena Airport, Loring AFB, Little Rock AFB, and finally McConnell AFB in Wichita, Kansas.

After his military retirement, Bob continued to serve his community through his work at Wichita Greyhound Park and Coleman, where he was known for his dedication, integrity, and quiet strength.

On April 6, 1969, Bob married the love of his life, Patricia Ann (Ligon), in Burnsville, Mississippi. Their marriage was a lasting example of love, partnership, and devotion.

He was a proud and caring father to Robyne Patrice (Tim) and their children Jonathan William Franklin, Tyler Jasper, and Graclyne Elizabeth ; Robert Patrick (Ariana) and their children Aeron Bryon (Kaitlyn), Jacob Gary (Shelby)—with great-grandchildren Bryon Jacob Ray, Cameron Wayne, and Rowan Samuel- Sadie Marie, Jaxson Wade (Crystal Daisy) with great-grandchildren Xavier Roberto, Israel Sebastian, and Mercedes Izabella Adrienne; William Kenneth; and Alicia Anne (Jevon) and their son Niklas Patrick.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife Patricia, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many extended family members.

He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
