Robert Leroy Gass Jr.

Gass Jr., Robert Leroy, 82, retired nuclear engineman for the US Navy, Bechtel Power and Construction Test Engineer, as well as El Dorado Correctional Facility Operator, passed away June 8, 2018. He is preceded in death by his wife, Karlene Gail Gass; daughter, Billie Gail Gass; parents, Robert Sr. and Dorothy Gass; brother, James Gass Sr.; and grandson Staff Sgt. Girard D. Gass Jr. Bob is survived by his sons, Robert L. (Dee Dee) Gass III, Girard D. (Kristi Jo) Gass, and James Gass Jr., as well as, Nancy Gass widow of Girard Jr.; grandchildren, Jesseriah Gass, Cpl. Robert L. (Brittany) Gass IV, Maggie Gass, Amanda Montalbano and Brandon Coffman; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Stella, Peyton, Myleigh, Isabella, Connor, Tory, Geo and Sky; brother, Jerry (Sherry) Dey; sister, Rita Ann Oliver, as well as a host of close family members and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held Sat. June 16, 2018 at Augusta United Methodist Church, 2420 N. Ohio St., Augusta, Kansas.
