Nelson, Robert Dean “R.D”, 82, retired Upholstery Assembly Tech at Cessna Aircraft and an avid skeet shooter, passed away on June 8, 2012. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Opal “Bea” Nelson, companion Dolores McCandless and son, David Nelson. He is survived by son, Frank (Lorna) McGehee of Wichita; daughters, Jeanie Creekmore and Patty (David) Pike both of Wichita and step-daughter, Terri Metrano of Sonoma, CA; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Viewing Monday, June 11th, from 12-8:00 pm and funeral service 10:00 am Tuesday, June 12, 2012 both at Resthaven Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Good Shepherd Hospice
