Robert L. Phelps Jr.

Robert was born in Wichita on September 4, 1924. He attended St. Anthony grade school and was a 1942 graduate of Cathedral High School. He made many lifelong friends racing homing pigeons as a young man. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. He married the love of his life, Nettie, in 1953 and together they raised 8 daughters. After working 30 plus years as an engineer at Boeing, he retired and enjoyed his hobbies as a woodworker and rock collector.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie; daughter, Susan Phelps; sister, Dorothy Stude; and son-in-law, Steve Kisley.

He is survived by his daughters, Mary Ann (Joe) Lester, Jane (Albert) Dick, Teresa (Stan) Stuever, Lisa Kisley, Amy (Brice) Waddill, Nancy Spicuglia, Jennifer (John) Slattery; 27 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and brother, Don Phelps.

He will be greatly missed.
