Rockne (Rocke) Gene Lindemann, 1953-2025. Rocke was born and raised in Oberlin, KS, and graduated from Decatur Community High School (DCHS) in 1972. He cherished his hometown and held many fond memories of growing up there, always considering Oberlin his true home.
Rocke attended Fort Hays State University (FHSU) before joining the Air Force. After completing boot camp, he was stationed at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, KS. Following his service, Rocke worked at Gentry LTD Clothier for many years before returning to FHSU to earn his bachelor’s degree. He later moved to Denver and worked at Optima Battery for several years before returning to Wichita to work for Koch Industries, where he retired as a Quality Inspector. In 2017, Rocke married his loving spouse, Eddie Lindemann (Magno), with whom he happily spent the rest of his life.
Rocke was a car enthusiast and a passionate Grand Prix fan. He was also an avid scale model builder, primarily focusing on vintage military vehicles. Rocke possessed a remarkable artistic talent, particularly in drawing caricatures and comics, and he had a wonderful and quirky sense of humor.
Rocke is preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Lindemann (Sorensen) and father, Gene Lindemann, as well as his grandparents, Soren and Lenore Sorensen and Elmer and Vera Lindemann.
Rocke is survived by his spouse, Eduardo (Eddie) Aguilar Lindemann-Magno; sister, Polly (John) Charleston; brother, Troy (Kimberly) Lindemann; and nephew and niece, Luke (Emmile) Lindemann and Elise Lindemann. He is also survived by his in-laws, Rosalina Gough, Elvira Magno, Pete (Josie) Magno, Luis (Daisy) Magno, Elisa (Noel) Encabo and Jessie (Imee) Magno.
A funeral service and burial will be held at 10 AM on March 22, 2025, at Resthaven Mortuary and Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209. Interment will be in the Garden of the Lord's Prayer.
