Lamm, Roger was born to Doyle Eugene Lamm and LoElla Pearl Hawkins Lamm on March 1, 1949 in Concordia, KS. The middle of five children, he grew up raising cane with his sisters - Glenda and JoEtta - and his brothers - Dwayne and Kendall. After graduation from East High School in 1967, Roger joined the Navy where he served for four years in Corpus Christi. He married Ronda Whitlock in 1968 with whom he had two children, Rick and Robin. After the Navy, he spent several years as a cross country truck driver where he had exciting adventures all over. When his first marriage ended, Roger became more involved with the church, joined a singles group at Central Community Church, and met Sherry Moore. They married on July 20th of 1985 and decided to add to the family by adopting two children- Allison and Jonathan. He and his family became active members of Eastside Community Church in 1994. During this time, he had already begun his manufacturing career at Product Manufacturing where he spent several years before moving to Center Industries. His time spent at Center was extremely rewarding in so many ways for him. He remained there until health issues required him to undergo a bone marrow transplant in Nov 2011. Since then, he has fought a long and hard health battle; but always with a smile on his face and a song in his heart. Roger was called home on August 6, but his time on earth and the legacy he left is an inspiration to everyone who knew him. There will be a viewing at Resthaven Mortuary on Friday, August 9th from 6pm-8pm; and a celebration of his life and homecoming will be Saturday, August 10 at Eastside Community Church at 1pm. Memorials will be established with Lives Under Construction Boys Ranch as well as the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge.
