Ruby Mae Brown

Ruby Mae Brown, age 94, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, at Meridian Rehab Nursing Home.

Ruby was born on July 15, 1931, in Bonanza, Arkansas, to Ina and Charles London. A devoted homemaker, Ruby found joy in raising her children, babysitting, and caring for others. Later in life, she lovingly served as a caregiver for her mother, Ina. Ruby had a generous heart and a lifelong desire to help wherever she was needed. She went on to work for 27 years as a senior companion caregiver, touching many lives with her kindness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ina and Charles London; her husband, Clarence L. Brown Sr.; her siblings Lucille Klein, Lillian Wilson, Elsie Ruth London, and Charley London; and her children, Clarence L. Brown Jr. and Wilma Lee Brown.

Ruby is survived by her sister, Shirley Hacker; her children, Jonathan Brown, Michael Brown, Beverly Allen, and Debra Ramey; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her 17 grandchildren, 22 great‑grandchildren, and 19 great‑great‑grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Lakeview Cemetery – Garden of Love, located at 12100 East 13th Street North, Wichita, Kansas 67206.
