It is with heavy hearts we announce Ruby J. Rogers entered eternal rest on November 5, 2024. Ruby was born June 4, 1935, in Byron, Oklahoma. She was 89 years old and was lovingly raised by parents, Alva L. and Hester A. Holden.
She spent most of her life in Wichita, Kansas and is survived by her devoted husband of over 70 years, Air Force Veteran, James L. Rogers. After meeting on a blind date and short courtship, they married on July 30, 1954, at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas.
Ruby also leaves behind son, James L.; daughter, Raschelle; granddaughters; great-grandchildren; their families and many “bonus” family members too.
Ruby’s favorite times were spent socializing with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending her free time cooking, painting, reading, sewing, all types of crafts, and playing cards with friends.
Many remember her kind heart.

A visitation for Ruby will be held Monday, November 11, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209 with a graveside service will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Gethsemane.
