Ruth Alice (Leivian) Walker

Ruth was a housewife for her life, raising a family and tending to everyone’s needs. She was very active in her parish, and was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Haysville, Kansas, for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, John “Jack” R. Walker; daughter, Diane Ring; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Ruth is survived by her children, Shirley Kirkpatrick, John M. (Nora) Walker, Janet Walker, and Mary Beth (Thomas) Hemby; 14 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Berneice Hermann, and brother, William "Bill" Leivian.

A rosary service will be held at 9:30 a.m., August 3, 2022, at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, 1900 W. Grand, Haysville, KS 67060. A mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00 a.m., also at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church. Interment will be private and take place immediately following mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Cecilia Catholic Church at 1900 W. Grand, Haysville, KS 67060. Please note on your donation that it is for prayer services for Ruth, her husband John, and her daughter Diane.
