Scott Erik Christensen was born in Portland, OR, to Leonard "Chris" Christensen and Virginia C. Kellogg on April 4, 1951. He later moved to Wichita, KS where he met who would eventually become the mother of his children, Kelley (Conway) Christensen. He graduated from Wichita State University in the class of '73 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. He had past teaching positions at Metro-Meridian High School and Maize Complete High School, where he taught history and English literature.
Scott enjoyed many things. He loved coffee, The Three Stooges, and The Beatles. He was an avid reader of World War II history, particularly the Pacific theatre. A natural entertainer, he would tell stories and jokes to anyone and everyone. His lifelong passion was playing his guitar which he also was able to turn into a career. He was heavily influenced by Eric Clapton's style of music. He marketed himself as a Bald Spot Productions, performing solo acoustic guitar for audiences in a variety of different settings, from local farm and arm markets, coffee shops to traveling the college circuit around the country and playing on campuses. He loved to travel and spent many years on the road performing shows or site seeing.
More than anything though, Scott loved his children and took pride in being the best father he could be. He was at every sporting event, helping edit every English paper, and did everything in his power to spend as much time as possible with them and set them up for success. Scott will always be remembered for his effervescent personality, his quirky sense of humor, and his ability to make heartfelt connections with those around him.
