Sherrie B. Swain

She loved her family, gardening, traveling and was an active member in her church, Clearwater Evangelical Free Church. She had a long management career at JCPenney and Burlington Coat Factory.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Velma Mikesell and her brother, William Mikesell.

Sherrie is survived by her daughters: Dana (Patrick) Malone of Wichita, KS, Lisa (Catherine) Swain of Boston, MA and Tiffany (Jonas) Struthers of Clearwater, KS; siblings: brother, Martin (Lynn) Mikesell of Eureka Springs, AR and sister, Patricia (Gary) VandeBruinhorst of Peck, KS; grandchildren: Melissa (Tom) Hecox of Fort Collins, CO, Ashlyn Struthers of Clearwater, KS, Jillianne Malone of Wichita, KS, Hope and Taylor Struthers of Clearwater, KS; great-grandchildren: Harper and Emerson Hecox of Fort Collins, CO; Nieces Tammy (Kendall) Bernstorf, Kathleen (Darin) Bastin, Shannon (Jeff) VandeBruinhorst, Amy (Barry) Bischler; and Nephew Heath (Amy) Mikesell.

A Visitation with family present will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Hwy 54, Wichita, KS with a Funeral Service to follow on Monday, January 22, 2024, also at Resthaven Mortuary at 10:00 AM.

A memorial has been established in Sherrie's honor with Alzheimer's Association.
