Spencer "Johnny" Johnson, age 84, passed away April 20, 2021, born to Clifford and Olive Johnson. Johnny was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed.
Johnny was born in Zion, Illinois on July 19, 1936. After high school he served in the United States Air Force for 24 years and the United States Postal Service for 19 additional years. In 1984, he married his wife of 32 years. They spent their years together as avid country dancers. Together they taught dancing classes and they traveled to line dancing workshops around the country.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bonnie Johnson; brothers, Vincent Johnson and Paul Johnson; sisters, Marjorie Elliot, Ann Erickson, and Rosemary Roys; and grandson, Jeremiah Kregger. Johnny is survived by his children, Lance Johnson, Robin Johnson, Angela Johnson, Stacey (Carol) Wespi, Jeremy Wespi, and Tiffany Gomez; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation is from 10:00AM to 12:30PM, Monday, April 26, with Funeral service following at 1:00PM, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
