

Sister Consolata “Connie” Robles, 92, entered eternal life on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Marian Hall, Mt. St. Mary Convent, Wichita, Kansas. Sr. Connie was born June 11, 1933, to Salvador and Romona (Delgado) Robles in Arkansas City, Kansas. She was the fourth child in a family of ten children. For her elementary education she attended Sleeth, Lincoln and Sacred Heart schools in Arkansas City, KS. She began her high school years at Arkansas City High School. At the beginning of her junior year, her father gave her permission to enter the convent. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph September 1, 1948. She received the habit and religious name of Sister Mary Consolata March 19, 1949. Her final profession was July 26, 1954. Sr. Connie taught primary grades (K,1,2) for 37 years. Her teaching experiences were in Colorado, Kansas and Oregon. They were: one school in Colorado, one school in Oregon, two schools in the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas, two schools in the Diocese of Dodge City, Kansas, one school in the Diocese of Salina, seven schools in the Catholic Diocese of Wichita, Kansas. When she retired from teaching, she moved to Mt. St. Mary Convent and did various ministries to assist the sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents Salvador and Romona, brothers: Florencio, James, Richard and Jimmy, sisters: Petra and Sister Dolores Marie. Survivors include her brother: Salvador (Donice), sisters: Carmelita (Ronald) Lane and Beatrice Guerrero and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Wake will be Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Retirement Fund for the Sisters of St. Joseph or Dear Neighbor Ministries, 3700 E. Lincoln, Wichita, KS 67218.
