Thelma M. (Marenchin) Voshell

Thelma M. (Marenchin) Voshell, age 95 fell asleep in Jesus on Monday, March 21, 2022 awaiting the glorious resurrection. Thelma was born June 26, 1926 in Farrell, Pennsylvania to Mary Popyack and John Marenchin.

Thelma was a cosmetologist and owner of Thelma's Beauty Shop. She volunteered for many organizations including Wesley Senior Friends, Envision and the Holy Cross Lutheran Church Altar Guild. Some of her favorite times included shopping and taking the granddaughters to Henry's to buy them fancy dresses, making porcelain dolls, and traveling. Most of all, she was devoted to her family, children and grandchildren.

Thelma is survived by her daughter Cheryl V. Zabel; brother Ernest Marenchin (DeDe); sister Mary Ann Covert; grandchildren Holly Stovall (Tom), Jennifer Smith (Matt), favorite grandson Adam Zabel, and Katrina Voshell; great grandchildren Nick, Dillon, Sam, Jack, Robert, Chloe, Elle, Cailey, Paige (Zach), Melody and Riley; and 3 great great grandchildren.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband Samuel C. Voshell; son Kenneth A. Voshell; son-in-law Richard Zabel; father John Marenchin; mother Mary Marenchin; brothers George Rabatin, John Marenchin, and Donald Marenchin; and sisters Dorothy Newell and Bettie Henderson.

Thelma will be laid to rest in Lakeview Cemetery, 12100 E 13Th St N, Wichita, KS 67206 on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 10:30 AM.

A funeral service for Thelma will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 600 N Greenwich Rd, Wichita, KS 67206.
