Hathaway, Tom, 49, Harvey County transfer station equipment operator passed to a better life on Oct. 27 , 2010. He was born on April 18, 1961 in Wichita, KS. He was known as a loving and giving individual among family, friends, co-workers and acquaintances. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and most outdoor activities, especially with friends. Preceded in death by his mother Sonja. Survivors are daughter Sonja; father Hap and step-mother Ruth Ann; siblings Carol (Mark) Hassell of West Palm Beach, FL, Patricia Hathaway, Donald (DeAnna Chandler) Hathaway, Barbara (Robb) Rumsey all of Wichita; step-brothers Monte (Lori) Offutt of Fontana, KS, Michael (Janet) Offutt of Osawatomie, KS; step-sister Idona (Gary) Hager of Wichita and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service is 7:00 pm Tuesday, Nov. 2 at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations to Leukemia Society of Kansas.
