Veda M. Dugan, age 97, passed away on June 24, 2021. She was born on July 6, 1923 to Walter and Columbia Oliver in Osborne, Kansas. Veda was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be missed dearly.
Veda loved her family and was so proud of her children, Richard and Debbie, as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a long time member at Beta Sigma Phi and a china painter for 40 years. Veda loved scrap booking and quilting. Veda also was a Sunday school teacher and loved entertaining her friends in her home. But most of all Veda loved to travel. Harold and Veda went to Europe thirteen times with friends and family; spending winters in California and summers in Wyoming.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Harold Dugan; and 4 siblings. Veda is survived by her children, Richard Dugan and Debbie Rich; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 daughter-in-laws; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 29th, with visitation 1 hour prior, both at Central Community Church Chapel, 6100 W. Maple Street, Wichita, KS 67209. Committal to follow at Resthaven's Cemetery in the Garden of The Gospels, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209..
