Walter "Sparky" Ferguson

Sparky was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was a mechanic and machinist by trade, loved working on cars and riding motorcycles. His passion for riding led him to become President of the Gathering Place Angels, a biker ministry. Wally also had a passion for food, especially Mexican food, and every good meal always seemed to be the best he ever ate. He was most passionate about his relationship with Jesus though and shared that with everyone he met. He never met a stranger. Walter served as Pastor of Calvary Chapel Branson, Missouri, and loved leading worship with his voice and guitar.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter & Cora (Lawson) Ferguson and Lester & Creedis (Brandt) Buis; parents, Isaac and Letha Ferguson; and sister, Brenda Cummings.

Survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Eileen Ferguson; children, Ericka Ferguson, Eli Koscheski, Seth Koscheski and Leah Anderson; grandchildren, Hailee Vignone, Jordan Cox, Estella Cox, Tristan Koscheski, Naomi Koscheski, Dani Koscheski, Keldon Fox and Hannah Anderson; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Gary Ferguson and Daniel Ferguson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life service for Sparky will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th Street N., Wichita, Kansas 67206.
