They moved from Pratt to Washington, Kansas, then briefly to Coats, Kansas in 1940. From there they came to Wichita, Kansas. Warren graduated from Wichita East High School in 1943 and held a few jobs before starting work at Koch Industries as an accountant in 1950; a job he held for nearly 40 years.
In May of 1958, Warren married Joy Messerschmidt, and they went on to have three children, Judy Siler (Wilson), James Siler, and Gary Siler. In 1990, Warren retired and spent his time fishing and woodworking.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Kenneth and Lloyd; sister, Jane; and wife, Joy.
He is survived by daughter, Judy and husband Jeff Wilson; sons: James and wife Susan Siler and son, Gary Siler; six grandchildren: Janell Wilson (Anderson), Andrea Wilson, Brad Wilson, Ashley Siler (Husni), Lauren Siler (Roush), and Connor Siler; and 8 great-grandchildren, Logan Anderson, Elaina Anderson, Rylee Wilson, Weston Roush, Levi Roush, Sadie Roush, Jack Husni, and Alice Husni.
After the death of his wife, Joy in 1989, Warren married Betty McCain in 1999, who also preceded him in death. He left many beloved members of this extended family as well.
A visitation for Warren will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and a funeral service will occur Friday, June 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS, 67209. A committal service will follow in Resthaven's Gardens of Memory: Garden of the Lord's Prayer.
