William "Tad" R Olenick

William R Olenick, age 65, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022. William was born January 16, 1957. William played bass guitar in his younger days and collected guitars. He loved jazz and attending concerts. William was a private pilot and enjoyed watching car races. William worked with Learjet in Wichita for several years before moving to Boeing and was transferred to Spirit Aerosystems when it was taken over by them. He retired from the aircraft industry after 34 years. William loved snow skiing in Colorado. He loved his animals and was a former member of the Kansas K-9 ResQ in Wichita for 7 years.

He is preceded in death by parents Ralph and Roberta "Billie" Olenick. William is survived by wife of 35 years Nedra; children Matthew (Haviland) Jennings and Sarah (Jeremiah) Berntsen; grandchildren Henley and Denver Jennings; siblings James Olenick, Beverly (Jon) Neth, and John (Rhonda) Olenick; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 9-10am, with Funeral Service at 10am Wednesday, March 16th, 2022 at Resthaven Mortuary. Burial will follow the service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
