Wilma Sue Trotter

Wilma Sue Trotter was born in Wichita, Kansas November 17th, 1953, Wilma was known by her family and friends as Sue. Sue was one of 9 children of Edward Trotter and Lemmie Mae Trotter. Sue attended public schools in Wichita, Kansas where she went on to obtain her cosmetology license with the Kansas board of cosmetology in 1984. Sue had a passion for cosmetology that came from watching her mother do hair for many years. Doing cosmetology brought joy to Sue and she enjoyed making people feel good with sharing her talents with them. Sue loved cosmetology so much she couldn’t wait to find a family member to try out her new skills on. Some of Sue’s favorite activities were going to bingo and the casinos with family, watching movies with her grandkids, and spending time with her dog Buddy.

Sue was genuine with a kind and passionate heart who showed love and care for everyone. Sue would do anything for her family she would get so excited just see them. Sue’s heart was as big as they come. When people say they would give you the shirt off their back is truly the definition of Sue’s heart. With her big heart came a smile that would light up any room and touch you deep in your soul. One smile from Sue and you knew you were truly loved by her. Sue was one of a kind and a special soul loved by all that had the privilege to know her.

Sue peacefully passed surrounded by family and friends March 11th, 2022. She spent her last days rejoicing, singing, smiling, loving and giving all glory to God. We all are so blessed to be able to have the honor to call her mom, sister, grandmother or great grandmother. You will truly be missed by so many.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, parents Lemmie Mae and Edward Trotter, sister Diane Michelle Trotter, brother Levi Jerome Trotter and brother Edward Trotter Jr.

Sue is survived by son Arlando Trotter, (Volonda) daughter Chanelle Trotter, (Justin) daughter Tameka McDonell, (Chris) 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Brother James Franklin Trotter, sister Bonnie Ann Trotter Hadley (Kenneth), sister Linda Mae Trotter Gilkey, sister Shirley Lee Trotter Massey (Norman), Brother Anthony Craig Trotter (Sharon)
