Smith W. W. “Bill”, 86, retired Steffen’s dairy deliverer and assistant chief of police of Haysville Police Department, passed away December 18, 2013. He is preceded in death by first wife Marjorie “Joann” Smith; daughter Sally Smith; brother Donald Smith; sister Marie Judd and step-son Mike Mitchell. Bill is survived by wife Thelma Mitchell-Smith; son James F. (Patricia) Smith; daughters Cheryl Setzkorn, Debra (Scott) Renfro, Brenda (Terry) Flynn, Mary (Dave) Dette; brothers George (Claudia) Smith; extended family Greg (Cyndi) Mitchell, Karon Mitchell, Deborah (James) Gibbs; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Monday, December 23, at 10:00 A.M. at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the D.A.V. and Harry Hynes Hospice.
