

Margaret Rebecca Johnson, 87, of Oxford, Florida passed away peacefully on October 14, 2021 surrounded by family. She was born on June 4, 1934 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, the youngest of 5 girls, to the late Horace and Mary Flegal.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 55 years, Carl Johnson; children: Mary Ryan (Dan) and Carl “Joe” Johnson Jr; grandchildren: Kevin and Meghan Ryan and Shelbie Johnson as well as extended family members and friends.
After meeting at Penn State, Becky and Carl raised their family in Wappingers Falls, NY. Then, first retiring to Burlington, NC and finally, spending the past 18 years in The Villages, FL.
Becky devoted her life to her family, taking a break from the workforce to raise her own children and then helping other working parents by caring for their children.
She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone she met, making them feel welcome and appreciated. In addition, guests always got a home cooked meal along with a freshly baked dessert.
Becky was also a lifelong Penn State fan and enjoyed watching their football games on Saturdays in the fall with Carl.
In retirement, she enjoyed swimming, bowling and bocce. She volunteered with Operation Shoebox, making care packages for the troops overseas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thurs. Oct. 21 at 10:00AM at St. Mark the Evangelist Church 7081 SE Highway 42, Summerfield, FL.
