Matthew, This is Brenda Golden in Wichita. I use to come into your office 2 or 3 times a year when you were a doctor in Wichita. 
Peter was the best at his work!

I sent Peter a Happy Birthday message to his mobile today. Then when I went to post on FB I saw that a friend had posted a happy heavenly birthday.  I was a bit shocked. I had no idea Peter had passed. 
I loved Peter and my prayers are with you.

I’m not sure how to begin. Peter and I shared so much while we worked together. After that we also shared our thoughts, experiences, and feelings for many more years as friends. Matt and Peter always play gracious hosts to all and make the time spent together seem to pass effortlessly. I will miss our conversations. All my Love and support for you Matt. Don’t forget me.

I remember our family going to Peter and Matt's house and they made some incredible food and were such generous hosts...Peter and Matts jokes and stories greatly amused us...you will be missed 😢

Peter was an amazing person and an inspiration to all of us.  Over the last three and a half years John and I spent many times together, enjoying Peter's amazing dinners, line dancing, swimming with the Manatee, playing pickle ball, sitting enjoying the music at Brownwood, attending our wedding in Maine, enjoying the theatre together, and most of all enjoying Peter guiding us through yoga.   We will miss him very much.  Love always Peter.

Here is the afghan project, Peter was so excited to see how well Matt did making the afghan.

Pete was one-of-a-kind. My first friend when I moved to Ponca City and the sweetest person you could ever know. I looked back at our texts and realized he still had such words of wisdom for me even though we haven't seen one another in years. His passing is a huge loss.

So sorry to hear that Peter finally lost his fight with cancer. He was one of my best friends in high school. I loved him so much. We had great times together in the chorale practice rooms…lots of smiles and laughter. He had the most fun personality. RIP my old friend.

And here - we hadn't changed one bit, had we?! ;-)  He and Matt came through on my 60th birthday.  (And thank you SO much Matt, for bringing him to me - even for that short time)

Pete has been a part of my life since I have memory, pretty much.  We grew up together.  He was my soft place to land when I needed my best friend.  This was home from college one weekend.  He was who I sought out when I rolled into town.

Matt and family,

I’m deeply saddened by your loss of Peter.  He had an extraordinary gift for sharing his passions and creating connections, bringing people together in ways that made the world a little brighter .  His natural curiosity was infectious, inspiring those lucky individuals around him to see life with fresh eyes and open hearts.

His presence will be missed, but his warmth, generosity and love for discovery will always remain in the memories he gifted us.
