Adam Jan Wolinski was born in Leka, Poland near Nowy Sacz on 10/21/1961. He grew up as part of a big loving family of 8, where respect for one another and giving a helping hand poured out from full hearts. Thanks to the support from his family, he was able to pursue his artistic passion at Antoni Kenar School of Fine Arts in Zakopane. He continued this passion throughout his whole life, from Poland to the United States.
In 1986, he joined his brother in the USA to support his family and seek out a better life for himself. During this journey, he met his amazing wife Elizabeth, with whom he shared 35 blessed years of marriage. They would raise two wonderful children along the way, Christopher and Katherine. After 20 years in New Jersey, Adam and Elizabeth decided to move to Williamsburg, VA. Here, thanks to his passion for art, hard work ethic and integrity, Adam ran a successful woodworking and restoration business. You could see his work throughout the community, from people’s homes, to restaurants, and churches.
Unfortunately, his time on Earth was cut short following a hard-fought battle with glioblastoma. Despite this hardship, he displayed great stoicism and continued to bring a smile to everyone’s faces. On 10/21/2025, Adam’s 64th birthday, he passed in the comfort of the beautiful home that he built, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, children, siblings and their families, as well as all the wonderful friends he made along his journey. While physically Adam is not with us anymore, he will remain in everyone’s hearts and memories until the end of our days.
Family, friends and others whose lives Adam touched are invited to Saint Bede Catholic Church at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 30th to reminisce, grieve, and celebrate the wonderful life of Adam Wolinski.
