Beulah Orange Furgurson

Beulah (Bea) Orange Furgurson passed away on June 1, 2015 at Hospice House in Williamsburg, Virginia. She was born November 5, 1933 in Bedford County, Virginia to the late March O. and Garrison T. Orange.

Mrs. Furgurson received her Registered Nurse diploma in 1954 and worked in hospitals in Danville, Richmond and Williamsburg, as well as serving as the school nurse in York County schools. She greatly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, especially to the great southwest.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Roger G. Furgurson of the residence; her daughter, Ann Furgurson of Montrose, Colorado; sons, Mark of Blacksburg and Neal of New Kent; her brother, Leslie Orange of New Jersey; and her sister, Eddie Starbuck of Florida. In addition, she had three grandsons, Mark, Jr., James and Jacob; and three great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Thomas and Kingston.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, June 4 from 6-8pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, Virginia. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 6, at 2pm, at Greenwood Cemetery, 1131 Park St., Bedford, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in her honor.
