

Brian was a life-long resident of Williamsburg. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1992. He was a long-time employee of Wendy's International and then Wen Gap. He was a hard worker and loved his family and friends to the fullest. His humor and wit was one of a kind and he could easily find the light side of a situation. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and WWE fan. He always enjoyed a friendly game of Madden with his friends. He loved hard, played hard but always had your back when you needed it.
Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Murphy and grandfather William D. Penny, Sr. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Tammy Penny; one son, Brian Penny Jr.; two daughters, Sydney Bowman and Nancy Penny; father, Byron Murphy; grandmother, Marjorie D. Penny; uncles, William D. Penny, Jr. (Joyce), Walter Penny and Lorenzo Penny (Sandy); aunt, Marjorie M. Penny; cousins, Michael Penny (Roselyn), Jesika Penny, Taya Trower, Sharnell Trower; 7 great-cousins; loving in-laws, Sadie Glass, Karen West (James), Ruth Anthony (David); nephew, Allen Anthony; nieces, Victoria Anthony and Rachel Anthony; and a host of relatives and many, many dear friends.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, March 1 from 2-5pm, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA, where a service will be held on Monday, March 2 at 1:30pm. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 809 S. Henry St., Williamsburg, VA.
