Carol Wallen Meadows

1955 - 2020

Passed with peace and grace on January 19th to her eternal rest. She is survived by her husband Robert Meadows, daughter Kari Myers, son-in-law Lee Myers, loving grandchildren Malena, Jason, Aubree, and Kylie, step son Rob Meadows, stepdaughter Jessica Meadows, sister Susan Hogan, and brothers Jim Wallen and Jack Schirtz. She is predeceased by her mother, Nancy (Kinslow) Schirtz, and father Shelby Wallen. Her place of final rest will be near her mother at North Syracuse Cemetery.

Carol was born and raised in upper state New York and graduated from Cicero High School in 1973. She relocated to Virginia in 1976 and became a lifelong resident, eventually settling in Chesapeake and recently moving to Williamsburg.

Hers was a life dedicated to her family. She sacrificed much to see that others would never go without. Her devotion to husband and family was unlimited. Quick with a smile and witty comment she was always a delight to be around. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind, but behind that was kindness and a heart of gold.

She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. In those quiet moments when you think of Carol may her memory bring a smile to your face. She would have wanted that.

A private 'Celebration of Life' memorial service will be held with close friends and family at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185 at 4 PM on Saturday, January 25th. Immediately following the service friends and family will gather at The Reserve at Williamsburg Clubhouse located at 100 Christopher Lane, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
