Carolyn Cooper has died at the age of 95. She is survived by a sister, Priscilla Kelly; a daughter, Skip Mollenhauer; and a niece, Carol Hamrick. Carolyn was born in Canton, Ohio on June 24, 1919. She later moved to Hammondsport, N.Y., and married George Cooper. They moved to Newport News during WWII and later to Williamsburg in 1964. Carolyn had been a resident at Patriots Colony since 2010. She was a bright spot in everyone’s day with her dry wit and humor. She was a wonderful mom, sister, and aunt. She and George were married for seventy years and eleven months until he passed away in 2010. Now, they are together once again.
