Christian M. Hutter

Christian McKinley Hutter, 48, lost his struggle for life on October 14, 2013 at Hospice of Virginia in Richmond after a brief illness. Chris was born in 1965 in Lynchburg, VA to Jimmy and Linda Hutter. He graduated from E.C. Glass High School and Lynchburg College. Chris’s first job after college was assistant golf professional at the County Club of Greenwich in Connecticut, after which he worked for the Hutter Corporation in Chantilly, VA until the business was sold in 1995. He then entered into the field of bar and restaurant management in northern VA. During his 18 years there, he worked at P.J. Skidoos in Fairfax, City Tavern in Manassas, and most recently at Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern in Herndon. Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Linda B. Hutter, grandparents Jim and Polly Hutter and Joe and Marynette Burnett, and aunt Dede Johnson. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Jimmy and Judy Hutter of Williamsburg, sisters Tracie Hutter of Williamsburg and Pennie Hutter Ledoux (Zack) Madison Heights,VA. He is also survived by his niece McKinley Hughes and nephew Tyler Ledoux, aunts Laura B. Hilbish (Mike), Laura H. Hess (Melvin), and Mary H. Rosen (Ralph). Many thanks to Chris’s northern Virginia family of friends and all those who have supported him throughout his illness. The family would also like to express their appreciation for the wonderful care given by the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital in West Palm Beach, and VCU Hospital and Retreat Doctors Hospital in Richmond. A memorial service will be held at Williamsburg Community Chapel, 3899 John Tyler Highway, Williamsburg, VA on Thursday at 11:00am.
