If you're about to throw a party, stop. Consider: Claudia Cowal Tucker (you probably knew her as "Claud") who entered eternal life on Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Her spirit is carried on by her four children, 7 grandchildren, and an extended family of relations and friends. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Claudia during her 79 years.
Claudia was born in Worcester, Massachusetts and lived in New England, California and Virginia.
Claudia attended the University of Massachusetts and had a career that spanned being an awesome ‘stay at home’ Mom to real estate as well working in the early days for the computer giant Digital Equipment Corporation.
She was active in the Episcopal Church in Williamsburg, Virginia - Bruton Parish where she was a frequent volunteer.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren: Peter (wife Ligaya, children Alejandra and Keera); Heather (husband Shawn, child Rebecca); Step-daughter Lucinda Ann Dimmick (husband Dan, children Kimberly Ann and Charles); Step-daughter Laura Elizabeth Hannegan (children John and Megan); and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list but certainly not forgotten. She loved and adored you all.
Claudia is reunited with her husband and favorite dance and travel partner, Dr. William E. Tucker, and is predeceased by a brother.
A memorial service will be held on September 22, 2014 at 2pm at Bruton Parish Episcopal Church, 331 W Duke of Gloucester Street, Williamsburg, VA.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg VA 23188.
