

Clifford M. Peake, 86, a native of Nampa, Idaho, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013 in Williamsburg, VA. Cliff distinguished himself as a community leader throughout his life, serving 43 years as a Chamber of Commerce Executive and 50 years as a leader in Rotary International, including service as District Governor in New Jersey. He waged a valiant battle against his illness over the past year, displaying the unyielding optimism he brought to life every day. Cliff adored his wife of 65 years, Jo and deeply loved his children, daughter, Christine R. Miller of Williamsburg, VA; and sons, Ed Peake of Deltaville, VA and Dave Peake of Pocatello, ID. He is also survived by three granddaughters, Aline Reitzer and family of Richmond, VA, Julia McAvoy and family of Chicago, IL, and Michelle Shriver and family of Richmond, VA. He has four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 18 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg with visitation from 3-4 PM and service at 4 PM.
