Cynthia Jean Rudin

Born in Chicago, Ill., Cindy lived in Richmond, VA, for many years before relocating to Williamsburg to be close to family. She was a devoted mother to her two children, who were the most important part of her life. She was also a talented seamstress, gardener and pianist with a love for history and the arts. She volunteered for Second Chance Animal Shelter and with the textiles collection of The Valentine in Richmond, VA, as well as serving as a docent for Bruton Parish Church and singing in the Williamsburg Choral Guild in Williamsburg, VA.

She was the daughter of the late Florence and Eugene Olson of Chicago, Ill.

Cindy is survived by her two children, daughter Sara Belmont and son Rob Rudin, and by her two granddaughters, Juliana and Mary.

A memorial service will be held for family and friends at 11am on Thursday, July 13th at Bruton Parish Episcopal Church, 331 Duke of Gloucester St., Williamsburg, followed by a reception at the Parish House at noon. Parking will be available at the church. Nelsen Funeral home is handling arrangements. Online condolences may be offered at www.nelsencares.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bruton Parish Church, the Heritage Humane Society, or to a favorite charity.
