A resident of Charles City since 1980, Debbie graduated from Riverside School of Nursing with her Registered Nurse Diploma in 1973. She went to work for Williamsburg Community/Sentara Hospital Emergency Room in 1973. She was a dedicated employee and constant patient advocate, always helping anyone she came across. She worked saving lives for 43 years. Larger than life personality, she never met a stranger. You never forgot meeting her.
A bench awaits you at the entrance of the hospital today, dedicated to her. She was always willing to give all who need rest and support, constantly helping patients she so dearly loved. She was also an avid member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory is the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Wyckoff, Jr.; son, Robert Graves Wyckoff; devoted daughter, Heather Ann Wyckoff; mother, Helen L. Graves; brother, Charles E. Graves and sisters, Caroline L. Dacas and Linda K. Hall.
