Dolores Miller Nizinski

Dolores was born April 15, 1929, in Connoquenessing, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Martha Rae Miller.

She graduated with a BS degree in Home Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1951. After graduation, she joined the faculty of Charleroi Junior High School in Charleroi, PA where she taught cooking. It was there she met her husband, William. They were married in June 1957. Dolores was a loving, devoted wife and mother, and spent the next 15 years as a homemaker before rejoining the workforce as a food service professional at Washington Junior High School, Cumberland, MD. She later became the Food Service Supervisor for Allegany County, Maryland and worked at the Board of Education until her retirement in 1991.

She was a member of the Frostburg United Methodist Church for 53 years before transferring membership to Williamsburg United Methodist Church in 2013.

Dolores is survived by William, her husband of 63 years; son, David and his wife Anna; son, Eric and his wife Lucy; daughter, Martha and her husband Tom Munroe; granddaughters, Amy Nizinski Stevenson, Maya Nizinski, and Nina Nizinski; and step-grandson David Munroe and his family.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, at Windsor Gardens Cemetery, 80 Soles Lane, Dutton, VA officiated by David Martinez from Traditions Health.
