We are so sad to here about Ed's passing, please accept our sincere condolences. Ed was a great husband, father and the best friend we could have ever asked for! We have so many great memories of Ed. He was such a warm and welcoming person and he was the greatest neighbor ever! Sometimes we would sit on your deck and laugh and laugh until we cried. He could tell jokes forever. We somehow were always able to solve the neighborhood problems and most of the world problems over a cocktail in your driveway. He was so full of life and he loved life. We loved him so much, we are so going to miss him....we love you all

Sending our condolences to you and your sons.  Growing up Eddie was like another one of my uncles.  He was a constant presence at my grandparents house on Ingham Street and added to the liveliness and good times that were a constant there.  I look back with great fondness on childhood trips to North Park with my granddad & Eddie bringing out his horse for us to see. Luke family you have condolences concerning Ed's passing. I worked with him until his retirement. He was more than just a brother officer/detective, he was a good friend to me. I will never forget his smile and other mannerisms. I shall never forget him, my he now rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy to the family of not only an exceptional police officer, but a wonderful human being.  Ed was one of my favorite recruits when I was a training officer and he continued  to be one Allegheny County's best detectives.  Sorry to hear of the passing of this truly great guy.

I was sorry to hear that Ed had passed away. I will always have fond memories of him from time we started training together and through all the years on the job. It was always good to see Ed come into the room because it made the day a little better. I will miss him but will always have the memory of his great sense of humor,kindness and dedication to the job and those around him. May god bless him.

Sorry to hear of Ed's passing. Another North Sider who became a County Mounty. We worked together in GI for many years. Ed was always the sharpest dressed detective. God Bless you Ed and your family.

I had the honor of working with Ed for 12 years and found him to be an exceptional person.  We shared many stories of our north side upbrinings, even though we were separated by age.  Ed was a very good person and his memory will bring many a smile to the people who knew him.  Rest In Peace ED!
