Eric Arnold Henretta

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Arnold B. Henretta; his grandmother, June Jolsderma; his father, David Henretta; his uncle, "Ivy" Henretta; and his brother, Michael Norman Henretta.

Left to grieve his absence are his mother, Carol Campana; his sisters, Alicia Lorack, Laura Osuna (Jim), Leah Henretta, and Christina Henretta; and one brother, Nick Henretta. He was very proud of all his nieces and nephews, Zach, Bella, Ryan, Nicolette, Maddi, Q.B., Eli, Fenix, Luna, Morgan, Marlee, Kailee, Bryce, Quay, Nate, Londan, Alabama and many cousins, aunts and uncles. The treasure of his life was his grandmother, Trudy Henretta Bowman who was lovingly renamed "Mamaw" when Eric was one. She has been a constant in his life, and he considered her his very best friend.

Eric was working at Eastern State Hospital in their Electrical and Mechanical Department, when he was diagnosed with ALS. Eric was a hard worker, dedicated to any task he was asked to perform by any friend or family member. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers Football team, and the Atlanta Braves Baseball team. He loved to read just about any subject, his favorite being History. He read so much that he knew a little bit, sometimes more of just about everything.

Eric was a great cook. He loved to spend half the day in the kitchen preparing delicious food for his loved ones. He was a gentle soul. He loved life even when it was hard. He was a forgiving man who gave everyone a second chance. He never held a grudge. He read his Bible every day and was sure where he was going after this life ended. Eric loved peace and laughter. He was passionate about music, teaching himself to play the guitar at a young age. But he loved his family most of all. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.

A visitation will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, Williamsburg, VA on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
