Nécrologie de Jane Davis Fay
Jane Davis Fay of Hampton, Virginia, age 92, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 8, 2018. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Nelsen Funeral Home and Crematory of Williamsburg, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Virginia. Visitation at the funeral home will begin at 3pm with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 5pm. A burial and graveside service will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Indian River, Michigan on Sunday, March 18 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg or The Alzheimer’s Association. Jane was born on April 15, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of John W. and Myrtle Davis. She graduated from Royal Oak High School in 1943 and later attended Michigan State University. Janie married John Hardeman Fay on March 18, 1944 and together they had 6 children. She was a devoted mother and military wife who travelled with her husband and family around the globe. Although the family lived all over the world, Indian River, Michigan and Hampton, VA were where Jane called home. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly, especially their visits to Indian River during her summers there. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2003 but continued to enjoy her family and life for years after, never complaining of her condition. Jane could always be found with a smile on her face, humming a tune or laughing along with loved ones. Surviving are four daughters, Carol L. (Richard) Van of Hampton, VA, Gail A. (William) Shaw of California, Cynthia F. (John) Stafford of Evans, GA, Debra F. (Joseph) Kosloski of Williamsburg, VA and one son, John D. (Christine) Fay of Hampton, VA and numerous grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John (Jack) Fay and her daughter Linda F. Newcomb. Jane and her family wish to thank the Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg staff and volunteers for their loving care during Jane’s final days.
