He spent his childhood growing up in Virginia Beach, VA, then living in Williamsburg, VA where he graduated from Lafayette H.S. in 1984. After a brief service in the Navy, John worked as a cook, a roofer, and in construction for many years. John was an avid San Diego Chargers fan and will be remembered for his kind heart, easy going nature, and big smile.
John will be missed dearly by his sister Debi Burcham and her husband Bart; brother-in-law, Steve Ivey; and nephews C.J. Pickin, Chris Taylor and Zachary Ivey; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Tiffany Walls, and his sister Cathy Ivey.
In keeping with John’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
