Josephine O'Hara

Josephine Johanna O'Hara died peacefully in her sleep on March 19, 2018. She was 94. Born in Heerlen, Netherlands on February 4, 1924, she immigrated with her daughter to the United States in 1961, residing in Pennsylvania, and for the past 15 years, residing in Williamsburg VA. A consummate mother and homemaker, Josephine dedicated her life to her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Adrian and Else Van der Tuyn; her husband, Martin H. O'Hara; her brother, Harry Van der Tuyn; and her sister, Antoinette Elders Van der Tuyn. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marley and Thomas Numbers; grandson, Bob Numbers and his wife, Caroline; granddaughters, Nicole Numbers and Christina Numbers; great-grandchildren, Alexandra Numbers and Thomas Numbers; two brothers, William Van der Tuyn and his wife Aleida and Adrian Van der Tuyn and his wife, Renate; and a sister, Mary Dormans. A visitation will be held at St. Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Rd., Williamsburg, VA on Friday, March 23 from 10-10:45am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment will be private.
