Judith G Connell

She moved to Miami, Florida when she was young and grew up attending a Catholic school. Judith married Fred W. Connell, and moved to Plantation where she worked at a daycare center for years. Later, she helped her husband run Taylor Rental Center. She was a former member of St. Benedicts Episcopalians Church in Florida. In Davie, she was the owner of Kemper Carpet and was a member of ABWA, American Business Women's Association. Judith had a German Shepherd (Max) who was a therapy dog that she took to hospice, hospitals, and nursing homes. Upon retiring, she moved to Williamsburg.

Survivors include one daughter, Judith Mayotte (Judyann) of Williamsburg, and her fiancée, Gillmon Sawyer; son, Doug Connell, his wife, Mamic Connell; her five grandchildren; Amy Wallace (her close friend who was like a daughter) of Williamsburg; and her brother, Doug Greist of Florida, whom she was quite close with; and Susanne VanBaalen (sister-in-law) whom she was also very close with.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Muriel Greist; first husband, Fred W. Connell; as well as fiancee, Bob Kemper.

Memorial Services will be held at 5:30pm on Sunday, Sept 17, 2023 at Wellspring United Methodist Church, 4871 Longhill Rd, Williamsburg, Virginia 23188.
