

A longtime resident of Williamsburg, June had been a member of Grace Baptist Church since 1957. She was the Choir Director for 35 years, as well as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher.
June was born on March 25, 1929, in Welch, WV. She was married to William C. Hathaway, Jr., for 59 years, who preceded her in passing as well as her parents, Harry O. Shelor and Mary B. Shelor; and father and mother-in-law, William C. Hathaway, Sr. and Annie Mae Bunting Hathaway.
Left to lovingly keep her memory alive are her daughters, Linda H. Burke (Mike) of Williamsburg, and Mary Ann Martin (Marty) of Yorktown; grandsons, Jason Burke (Melissa) and Michael Burke all of Williamsburg; grandson, Cory Martin (Jennifer) of Yorktown; granddaughter, Lindsay M. Sterchi (Tyler) of Effingham, IL; and great-granddaughters, Kayla Burke, Megan Burke, Maya Burke, Ashlyn Martin, Addison Sterchi and Felicity Sterchi.
Visitation with the family will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 at 11:00 am, Grace Baptist Church, 1013 Penniman Road, Williamsburg followed by a celebration of June's life, also at the church at 12:00 noon. Burial will be at Holly Lawn Cemetery in Suffolk, VA following the Service. The family would appreciate your presence in honoring June's life.
