June Marlene Horner

June Marlene Horner, 89, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 in Williamsburg, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Honnell and Lillian Ethel Searles; and her brother, Albert Searles.

She was a skilled violinist before attending and graduating from the Hartt School of Music in West Hartford, Connecticut. June’s love of music led her to spend many years teaching music at the Huntington Christian School in New York.

A member of the Williamsburg Community Chapel, she also began a youth orchestra where she arranged and directed all the music for 14 years and was an active member of the choir herself for 20 years.

She greatly loved her family and spending time with her seven grandchildren.

June is survived by her husband, Glenn Willis Horner; daughters, Lori Kaisand (Mark) and Lisa Haag (Steve); grandchildren, Alison Barrett, Brandon and Derek Kaisand, Corinne Kimbrell; Levi, Cullen and Summer Haag; and great grandchildren, Eli, Landon and Ella Kaisand, Colton, Raelynn and Ryanne Barrett and Amelia Kimbrell.

A Celebration of Life will be at the Williamsburg Community Chapel, 3899 John Tyler Hwy., Williamsburg, Virginia on Friday, February 4th at 3:00PM.
