Lenore S. Knestrick

Lenore “Lynn” Steigelmann Knestrick went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 15, 2023, after suffering a fall at her home. Lynn was born on April 11, 1945, in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, the third of five children born to Valentine (Val) and Dorthy Steigelmann.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, the love of her life and best friend, R. Corwin Knestrick; her sons, Christopher C. Knestrick of Redmond, Washington and Jonathan D. Knestrick of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; her daughter, Allison Dossett Patzig (Andy) of Aldie, Virginia; as well as two granddaughters, Emerson and Kate Dossett. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Diane O’Malley (Tom), and brother Richard K. Steiglemann.

Lynn graduated from Penn State University as a medical technologist. Upon graduation, she worked at Jefferson Hospital in Center City, Philadelphia, until she and Corwin started their family. She was a devoted Catholic and integral parishioner at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She was most recently a member of St. Olaf Catholic Church in Toano, Virginia.

Lynn was, in a word, dynamic. She loved deeply, which can be seen in the outpouring of love she received in return.

She will be put to rest on July 21st, 2023, at 11:00 am at Nelsen Williamsburg Funeral Home, where family and friends will celebrate her remarkable life.
