

He was born in Portsmouth VA, but grew up in Williamsburg, graduating from James Blair High School in 1963. He was a member of the ROTC at Va. Tech graduating in 1967. Len attended William & Mary law school, graduating in 1970. He was commissioned in the Army spending 4 years in the JAG Corps. Len then went to work for the City of Newport News until retirement.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence L. Ringler. He is survived by his mother, Lucy, of Williamsburg; a brother, Terry and wife, Becky, of Smithfield; a nephew, Chris Ringler; and a niece, Sarah Walsh, husband, Jim, and children, Avery and Lucy.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 17 from 6 to 8PM, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road. A memorial service will be held at Williamsburg United Methodist Church, 500 Jamestown Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23185 on Friday, July 18, at 2PM, followed by a reception at the church.
