I want to extend my deepest sympathy to the Ringler Family. I enjoyed practicing law with Lenny in the Newport News City Attorney's Office. He was an intelligent lawyer and a gentleman in every respect. I will always remember his friendship and support. Lenny, may you rest in peace.

I just recently learned of Len's death.  I was out of town. However, I just wanted you to know that when I was City Clerk and Len was in the City Attorney/s office, if I needed any information or assistance, Len was the person I always went to.  He was one of the finest persons I have every known  My sympathy is with you.

Our family is shocked and saddened by our wonderful neighbors passing. Always so helpful and involved in our neighborhood. I'm deeply saddened to hear of Len's passing.  Though I'm relieved that he is in a better place. He was a very humble and generous man, always willing to help people and went out of his way to do so. Len was the Attorney assigned to my department at the City of Newport News. We worked together for 13 years and continued our friendship after both of our retirements. Len's passing is a loss for us all. May God look after and Bless his family.

I was devastated to learn that Len had passed.  He and I worked together in the City Attorney's Office for many years.  He was an awesome attorney and had a unbelievable work ethic; I learned so much from him.  I have so many memories of Len, and one that comes to mind is pink flamingos in his yard for his birthday! Leonard was an amazing friend and classmate at James Blair High School and not surprisingly became an outstanding  man.  I have read the many  memories of his friends and colleagues.    He left us all the richer for having entered our lives.  I shall miss him until I see him again  where sickness. death. and dying  will succumb to  God's  amazing grace!

I retired in 2000 from the City of Newport News, but I remember Len's smile and how friendly he was. I pray peace to the family.

I am so sad to hear of Leonard's passing. We have been friends for many years and I was blessed to know him. I send my deepest sympathy to his family. He will be truly missed.

I always appreciated the opportunities I had to work with Len during my tenure with the City of Newport News. He was a warm, genuine, and jovial gentleman. I enjoyed many a laugh that lightened my load sitting across the desk from him in his office. Nothing but good, positive memories of a bright and charming colleague who always contributed valuable insights and advice. My sincerest condolences, thoughts, and prayers for his family during this time.

I knew Len from the City of Newport News.  He was a great person and I enjoyed our friendship throughout the years.  Thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time!

For Len's family:
Len was the best neighbor and we always enjoyed his company.  Our first Christmas as his neighbor, he brought over a pecan pie that HE had made.  That act of kindness marked the beginning of Len's special presence in our lives.  We miss him very much, but we look forward to seeing him when Christ returns. I Thessalonians 4:13-18.  We hope you take comfort in those scriptures.  It won't be long til we see Len again.

Lenny was a wonderful Wendwood neighbor, which I will dearly miss.  Mostly, I'll miss walking or bike riding by his house, looking through the front door to find him in his recliner from which he would wave and welcome  me in to talk of old TV westerns he often would be watching, cars, football, eating Dirt Cheap at Fullers, computers, his past faithful dog and companion "Lady," and all good and bad things under the Sun.  A wonderful person taken from us too early.

Celebrating a life well lived.  The class of '63 will forever cherish Leonard's memory. Rest in Peace Leonard. we'll miss you always.

I was hired by Len in 1987 and worked with him until his retirement.  I can honestly say that he was one of the fairest persons I've had the pleasure of working for and with. To the Ringler family, my your hearts find comfort during this time of bereavement.

I worked with Len at the Newport News City Attorney's office for many years.  He was an excellent attorney and he was honest and fair to everyone.  He loved Langley Speedway in Hampton and was a devoted Nascar fan.  He has been taken too early and will definitely be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Len for a dozen or so years at the City.  He was a good, charitable person and will be missed.  My condolences go out to his family and loved ones.

I will miss Len. He and I worked closely for many years while at the City of Newport News, and we shared many mutual interests. I valued his wisdom,knowledge, and advise. He is one of those people that I will never forget. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
