She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Sherwood; and her grandson, James Arrington.
Mae worked in Sales for Peebles Dept. Store and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Wood (Howard) and Gloria Long (Mel); her grandchildren, Eddie and Brian Arrington, and Shaun Long; and 5 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will take place at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA on Friday, June 6, from 6-8pm. A service will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 1013 Penniman Rd., Williamsburg, VA on Saturday, June 7 at 12pm, followed by interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Williamsburg, VA.
