Marie L. Wilkinson

Marie Wilkinson, 89, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Williamsburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Wilkinson; son, Michael Wilkinson; parents, Ernst & Marie Zepht; and her sister, Elsie Young.

A graduate of Syracuse University of Nursing, she became a R.N. who held multiple nursing positions. Marie was also active in church activities, most recently at Hickory Neck Episcopal Church, a longtime volunteer with Meals on Wheels, raveled and lived internationally, loved hiking, camping and cross-country skiing.

Survivors include daughter, Patricia Wilkinson; daughter-in-law Linda Wilkinson; grandchildren, Patrick Wilkinson (Sarah), Katie Laird, Amanda Meszaros; 5 great-grandchildren, Colin, Evan, Kaleb, Aiden and Serenity; sister Anna Stone; 4 nieces; and 1 nephew.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12-2pm and 5-7pm on May 2, 2017 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Virginia 23188. Memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
