Mary Ellen Williams died at her home in Williamsburg, Virginia on July 1, 2014 after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Robert O. Williams and her brother, Archibald Gray Smith III; as well as her daughter, Annette Williams Clark and husband, Alexander S. Clark; her son, Edward Gray Williams and wife, Jeannine Williams. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Eleanor Clark, Alice Clark, Mark Williams and Jill Williams; her nephew, Russell E. Christensen; and nieces, Mary Elizabeth Cloud and Ellen Thomas.
A graveside service will take place at East Hill Cemetery on East Main Street across from the Salem Historical Society, on Monday, July 7 at 10 AM . Online condolences can be offered at www.nelsencares.com.
