Maxine Ann Davis

Maxine Ann Davis, 90, of Williamsburg, VA, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025. She was born to Widdie and Velma Gremillion on October 22, 1934, in Freeport, Texas. Maxine had a passion for family genealogy that led to travel, research, and an abundance of stories. She was an excellent cook, loved playing cards, music and singing and was a faithful member of Saint Olaf Catholic Church in Williamsburg. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Widdie Paul and Velma Ann Gremillion; sister, Barbara Faye Price; and her husband of 58 years, Ivan Corbett Davis. She will be deeply missed by her 4 children; Perry Glenn Davis, Kenneth Paul Davis (Marcia), Russell Martin Davis (Nancy) and Christina Marie Wallace (Alan); and seven grandchildren, Alexandra, Timothy, Sarah, Rachel, Lauren, Nicole, and Mason.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 7, from 5-7 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg. A memorial mass will be offered on Saturday, March 8 at 11 AM at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 104 Norge Ln, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
