Born in Richmond, VA, Ann's mother died of tuberculosis when she was 10 months old. She lived with foster families until she was a teen when she moved in with her beloved father. After graduation, Ann attended St. Luke's Nursing School. She left nursing school before finishing to marry her husband, Robert Talley.
She and Robert had five children and travelled the country with the US Coast Guard. Ann was a fierce advocate for education, the environment and all animals her whole adult life. She was a swimmer, a scuba diver, and a motorcycle rider. She adored her dogs Duckie, Puppa and Babe and her cat Midnight kitty, and they adored her.
Later in life she went back to nursing school and became a licensed Practical Nurse and worked in that profession for 17 years. She retired to her rural home in Gloucester, VA. In the last two years of her life, she lived at Brookdale Chambrel. She made good friends and enjoyed an active social life!
Ann is preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Robert William Talley, and daughters, Robbie Ann Talley, Lauret Marie Talley and daughter-in-law, Terri Talley.
